Other areas I work with.
Addiction is my primary focus, but the struggles that bring people to therapy rarely fit into a single category.
Money and mental health
When spending becomes the thing you can't control.
Most people don't think of money problems as something you bring to a therapist. But the patterns behind out-of-control spending, financial anxiety, and the shame that follows are deeply emotional.
The urge hits. You spend. Then comes the guilt, the racing heart, the quiet panic of wondering what you've done. You unsubscribe from emails. You delete the apps. You tell yourself this is the last time. And then it happens again.
“Before becoming a therapist, I spent five years as a financial advisor at TD Bank.”
I understand money not just as a clinical topic, but as something that touches identity, security, relationships, and self-worth. That background gives me a practical lens that most therapists don't have.
This work isn't financial advice. It's therapy that helps you understand the emotional and behavioural patterns driving your relationship with money.
Additional services
Other areas of focus.
01
Cannabis and marijuana.
For many people, cannabis starts as a way to relax or fall asleep. Over time, it quietly becomes the only way. If you can't imagine going to bed without it, or if you've tried to stop and the withdrawal keeps pulling you back, something is worth looking at.
02
Anxiety, stress, and life transitions.
Not everything that brings someone to therapy has a label. Sometimes it's just the accumulating weight of stress, worry, grief, or the sense that life has taken a turn you weren't prepared for. This work is practical and grounded.
03
Other addictive behaviours.
Gambling, compulsive pornography use, internet-related behaviours, and other patterns can create the same cycles of shame, secrecy, and loss of control. I approach this work without judgment.
04
Couples and relationships.
I'm currently developing a dedicated couples therapy offering. In the meantime, I work with individuals on relationship-related concerns, including communication patterns, trust, and navigating conflict.
